ABOUT US

Cat Packs is a community-supported food program serving children in need within the Dallastown Area School District.

Cat Packs began with a group of volunteers who saw a need in our community and wanted to help. What started as an effort to support students at a single school has grown into a district-wide program serving six schools and approximately 125 students each week.

Our purpose is simple: to serve children in need at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. We provide students with bags of food to take home, helping bridge the gap when school meals aren't available.

Cat Packs is made possible through the generosity and involvement of our community. Individuals, families, local businesses, service organizations, places of worship, and other partners contribute food, financial support, and resources that allow us to continue serving students each week. You can also learn more about where our funding comes from and how we use it.

Our Board of Directors is made up of community members representing local businesses, service organizations, and places of worship. They provide leadership and help guide the organization as it continues to grow.

From a handful of volunteers serving one school to a community-wide program reaching hundreds of children each month, Cat Packs has always been about people coming together to meet a basic need.

We believe no child should ever have to go without food, and that together, our community can make sure that doesn't happen.
